Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Le Carre, a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, is relatively meaty on the nose with notions of chargrill and charcuterie over a core of warm plums, blueberries and cherry tart. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, velvety tannins and plenty of mid-palate fruit, with layers of savory flavor and spices coming through on the finish.
