Tasted at John Armit, the Montrachet has a very subtle nose that initially displays less mineralité than the Chevalier Cabotte. Touches of crushed stone, lime flower and a hint of fresh apricot. The palate is very well balanced and very complex with subtle notes of apricot, candied orange peel and white peach, although at the finish I feel that at this early juncture, the La Cabotte displays more essence of the terroir and more mineralité. Still this is a very fine Montrachet. Neal Martin
